Nutrition and Exercise Plan for a Healthy Living

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

The more you know about how your body responds to your lifestyle choices, the better you can customize a nutrition and exercise plan that is right for you.

When you eat well, increase your level of physical activity, and exercise at the proper intensity and you are informing your body that you want to burn a substantial amount of fuel. This translates to burning fat more efficiently for energy.

In other words, proper eating habits plus exercise equals fast metabolism, which, in turn gives you more energy throughout the day and allows you to do more physical work with less effort.

The true purpose of exercise is to send a repetitive message to the body asking for improvement in metabolism, strength, aerobic capacity and overall fitness and health.

Each time you exercise, your body responds by upgrading its capabilities to burn fat throughout the day and night, Exercise doesn’t have to be intense to work for you, but it does need to be consistent.

Read more detail to learn how nutrition and exercise may improve your health in the full article.

Using Herbs For An Asthma Cure

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

When you have asthma, breathing becomes much more difficult.

Your passage ways that normally conduct air to your lungs become restricted and often inflamed. As you labor for breath, each attempt to take oxygen into your body actually saps energy from you causing weakness and discomfort. If an asthma attack is severe enough, it can even result in death.

Many things can trigger an asthma attack. Allergies to certain substances or even food can cause your airways to restrict. Sickness and even medications can cause an asthma attack to occur.

There is no real medicinal cure for asthma, however herbs for asthma treatment show much promise in building up a person’s immunity to an asthma attack. When doctors treat asthma, they only treat the symptoms and not the underlying problem that causes the attacks in the first place.

Find out more about how to treat asthma with herbs in the full article.

It used to be that if you had hypertension, you would have to cure it with diet.  Nowadays, we have gotten rid of natural high blood pressure remedies. Rather than telling people to reduce stress, cut out salt from their diet, eat healthier, and lose weight, we simply give them a hypertension pill.

Although in one way, this is a good thing, in another way it is bad. Sure, our high blood pressure cure really does work for most people. Nevertheless, it is a stopgap solution. Having a healthy immune system is very important for people today, as getting sick means not just being uncomfortable and inconvenienced; it can also mean missing work, passing the sickness on to others, and doctor’s visits and medicines that put quite a dent in the budget. Controlling Weight

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Controlling weight means having to learn two sets of behavior: weight loss and weight maintenance. According to some health professionals, weight maintenance is the more difficult. Only a third of the people who lose weight are able to keep it off. Long-term success depends upon continuing the good eating and exercise habits you developed while losing weight. So don’t allow yourself to get into a regime that is too vigorous because you are unlikely to be able to keep it up. Vigorous diets do work but usually they only work to take the weight off and then become unsustainable and within a short period of time the weight returns.
