Abortion Options to Consider If You’re Facing an Unplanned Pregnancy

September 14th, 2008

There are both medical and surgical abortion options available to women choosing to terminate their pregnancies. Early surgical abortion and the abortion pill for pregnancies between four and seven weeks include a vacuum aspiration or a medical abortion using the pill Methotrexate, a folic acid antagonist, or Mifeprex, a progesterone antagonist, either of which are used in combination with Misoprostol, a prostaglandin drug, to induce contractions in the uterus and expel the fetus.
