Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
June 13th, 2008The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), estimates that 4.4 million youth between the ages four and seventeen have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD by a healthcare professional, and over half that number are currently receiving prescribed medication for the disorder. ADHA is a condition that can make it hard for a child or adult to sit still, control behavior, and pay attention. It usually becomes apparent in children during the preschool and early school years, because it’s hard for these children to control their behavior and/or pay attention.
