Years ago, that six letter word, cancer, meant that there wasn’t much hope for you and there were not many cancer treatment options available. Today, there are many more cancer treatment options available and hope flourishes everywhere.
Cancer treatment can be individually tailored to each person’s unique situation. Each individual is different and the treatment plan will also vary. Treatments might include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, nutrition, spiritual support, naturopathic treatment as well as mind/body alternatives.
Surgery will try to remove the cancer. A surgical cancer treatment will try to remove as much of the tumour as possible. A surgical procedure may also be done to help access the progress of the cancer and the type of cancer.
