Chlamydia and Condoms — Keep Yourself Safe

You may feel safe now that you’ve gotten the HPV vaccine, but did you know that it only covers a fraction of the known HPV strains, and that it does nothing to prevent HIV, chlamydia and other sexually transmitted diseases? Chlamydia is transmitted over a million times a year in the United States alone, yet it often goes undiagnosed due to its subtle or nonexistent symptoms.

The best way to protect yourself from chlamydia is buy using a condom every time you have sexual intercourse. If your partner doesn’t like putting one on, you can use a female condom and take control of your own protection.
