Electronic Medical Billing Service
July 9th, 2008After I completed my course in medical billing , I started a job at an electronic medical billing service. The staff consisted of medical professionals, computer technicians and recent graduates of medical billing school- like me. My job consisted of data entry of insurance claims and patient claims into medical practice management software . I also answered phones and ran reports for physicians. More and more physicians are outsourcing their medical billing and medical claim management to electronic medical billing companies who are certified to handle multiple requests from physicians looking to take control of there medical billing. With new HIPAA regulations changing all the time, new patients coming in, old patients leaving and managing a staff of employees, it is challenging to make sure that all important details required of medical claims take place.
