Dukes Classification of Colon Cancer

Information about the severity of colon cancer is often refered to as Dukes Classification. This is a measurement the level of severity that the patient is experiencing. There are four stages in this ranking measurement.

From the earliest and most treatable condition or Stage 1 to the most advanced Stage 4 where the patient is terminal, Duke’s Classification lists stages of the disease’s progression. It takes into account whether lymph nodes are affected or not. Generally, Stages 3 and 4 include affected lymph nodes.
