When used in place of saturated fat, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats should be the choice.
They may help lower your total blood cholesterol and are better for your heart.
Cut down eating red meats and any fat rich foods. A diet for high cholesterol should contain fruits and vegetables. If you want to lower your cholesterol eat on the vegetarian side of the food tree.
