Pollen Allergy Symptoms

January 23rd, 2010

Every spring, summer, and fall, millions of people across the country are affected by the many tiny particles that are released from trees, weeds, and grasses.

These particles, known as pollen, ride the air currents to spread themselves all across the country side.  The biggest danger that pollen allergens pose to the sufferer is that the symptoms could trigger pollen allergy symptoms such as asthma or other breathing problems and escalate into a life threatening situation.

Many people manage to get by with some of the milder pollen allergy symptoms such as red eye, sniffling, stuffy noses, and the like. In addition, for many of these milder hay fever symptoms, over the counter drugs are readily available. For more difficult occurrences, however, your doctor may need to prescribe stronger drugs such as steroids or other medications.
