I have to admit, with the way the world is set up, this is going to be harder than I ever thought it would be.My daughter is young, and she really doesn’t know enough yet to complain, but my husband is going to be another issue all together. He is the one who is going to make this tough, but his resistance thus far has not been too strong. I’m sure he’ll let me know when I have stepped over the line….

The condition GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease)is caused by the acid within the stomach being allowed to go back up into the esophagus.
This acid is allowed to escape back, due to the malfunction of the LES (lower esophagael sphincter). This muscles opens to allow food consumed to pass into the stomach. However, if the LES fails to close in after this then the contents of the stomach are not contained and will go back up into the Esophagus.
This can cause damage to the lining of the esophagus and can cause conditions such as heartburn.

Heartburn remedies can often be found by just omitting certain foods and drinks, but sometimes these changes aren’t enough to prevent it and in those cases the use of non-prescription drugs can provide heartburn relief. Quick relief can be found in chewable antacids which often work very well. The liquid forms of antacids will also work, but the addition of anything to the stomach causes it to make even more digestive acids so the results aren’t guaranteed. If you suffer from heartburn during pregnancy taking antacids that include aluminium isn’t a good idea. Most women are prone to constipation while pregnant and if consumed in large amounts, aluminium leads to constipation and is toxic as well. Click on the link to find out more about how to deal with heartburn remedies.

Once you are diagnosed with GERD, your doctor will try many paths to get your symptoms under control. Since GERD is caused by a faulty sphincter in the esophagus that allows acid to come back from the stomach into the throat and mouth, controlling the acid is often first on the agenda. This can be attempted through lifestyle changes such as avoiding foods that trigger symptoms, as well as cutting back on alcohol, coffee and smoking. Keeping weight in check and staying away from large meals can also help patients have fewer episodes of acid reflux. Learn more about alternative solutions for acid reflux such as vitamin u and GERD wedges to help you sleep better.

If you’ve never shopped at a health food store, it’s a new and fun experience. You’ll find the produce section contains only organically-grown fruits and vegetables. Such produce comes from farms which must be federally certified and inspected to assure no pesticides are used on the crops and that pesticides have not been used on the land for the last ten years. Pesticides remain on the crops after harvesting, which is why we are told to wash all fruits and vegetables throughly. Ask a clerk in the health food store to explain why organically-grown produce is better for you. The conversation will be an eye-opener…

The real problems arise when all these toxins are reabsorbed into our bloodstream if not totally eliminated. Everyday, people suffer from what seem like minor symptoms such as the ones mentioned above simply because they have so much fecal buildup inside them. The average person carries around 10-20 pounds of waste in their systems—definitely an excessive amount of unwanted mass, considering so many individuals go crazy over dieting just to lose that much weight.
