When I was a kid, my mom got us all waterproof bedding.
Although I was not a bed wetter, my parents were pretty thrifty people and did not want to take any chances with the new mattresses they had bought for us.
They figure that waterproof mattress covers were the best way to ensure that the beds did not get damaged, and so they made sure that every child had them.
To tell you the truth, I didn’t really like the waterproof mattress pad when I was young. It was kind of uncomfortable.
Then last year, my child started to wet the bed. I went out to buy him a waterproof bed protector and was surprised by what I found.

The special case of losing a child: grief and depression in San Diego. Losing a loved one is never easy.
