Basic Dental Insurance

June 30th, 2008

Many Americans do have dental coverage from work, though millions of Americans have no coverage at all. Even if you are covered with basic dental insurance, you may still have to pay out of pocket costs for many procedures. Typical dental plans come with deductibles, yearly maximum payments, and limitations on the work they will cover. While most dental insurance will help out with yearly checkups, cleanings, and x-rays, you may find yourself with a steep bill if you have to have orthodontic work done, need crowns, or perhaps, dentures.

Teeth Whitening

April 28th, 2007

With all teeth whitening systems, it takes time. Don’t ever believe an advertisement that says it will whiten overnight. These products are probably really bad for your teeth, and won’t whiten them either. It will just leave them feeling sensitive to all things hot and cold, and your gums will hurt too. It’s just not worth it. Crest White Strips work if you use them consistently, as do some of the other over the counter teeth whitening systems you can purchase. All products take some time to work, anywhere from two to three weeks to start seeing significant results, and you have to keep using them on a consistent basis or your teeth won’t stay white.

In Need Of Some Aesthetic Dentistry?

January 31st, 2007

Thank God for aesthetic dentistry. Hey, am I right here or am I right? I think there are individuals around the globe who are incredibly pleased regarding our new-age aesthetic dentistry. After all, it seems like most individuals are not born with straight or perfect teeth. In all honesty, I’ve always found this notion to be seriously odd. I mean think about this for a moment. We’re all born with certain limbs, organs, and attributes; why is it that our teeth don’t come in straight very often? This is bizarre. Our arms come on okay; our eyes aren’t crooked or backwards; our fingers are proportional. What is the deal with our choppers? They should come in straight and perfect. Crooked teeth that demand assistance should be abnormal. Well, that’s my opinion anyway…
